Terms and Conditions for Bain-Marie Hire

1. Hire Duration

The bain-marie is provided for hire on the agreed date(s) only. Extended hire may incur additional charges and must be arranged in advance.

2. Deposit & Payment

A refundable security deposit is required at the time of booking. Full hire payment must be made prior to or upon delivery. The deposit will be refunded upon the return of the bain- marie in clean and undamaged condition.

3. Cleaning Requirements

The hirer is responsible for cleaning the bain-marie before returning it. Items must be returned in the same clean condition as they were provided. A cleaning fee will apply if returned dirty.

4. Collection & Return

Unless otherwise agreed, the bain-marie must be returned to our café ASTOR TERRACE CAFÉ in Spring Hill. Late returns may incur a fee. A late daily fee will be charged based on the current market rate. If the delay exceeds 10 days, the deposit will not be refunded

5. Usage

The hirer is responsible for using the bain-marie safely and correctly. Our staff will not be on-site for setup or operation.
Note: Fuel (lighter or chafing fuel) is not provided. It is the hirer’s responsibility to supply and safely manage heating sources.

6. Liability & Damage

The hirer is liable for any damage, loss, or misuse of the bain-marie during the hire period. If the item is returned damaged, the cost of repair or replacement will be deducted from the deposit, or additional charges will apply.

7. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made within 48 hours in writing of the hire date may forfeit the deposit.

8. Refund Policy

After deducting any applicable fees, the remaining amount will be refunded to the hirer’s designated account within 7 days.

9. Agreement

By confirming the hire, the hirer agrees to these terms and conditions in full.
